Yavae is a published illustrator and designer specializing in character design, visual development, creative product design, and visual storytelling. She is an artist at Nickelodeon Animation Studio on Baby Shark's Big Show, and other unannounced projects.

A Wisconsin native, Yavae grew up with blizzards and cold winds, but her love for warmth has moved her to bring heartwarming moments to screen and print. And now as an LA-based artist, she has all the warmth to last a lifetime! Her interests and sensitivity to culture and human breadth are evident in her exploration of diverse locations, people, and things.

 

Creating cartoony, colorful characters that experience the full spectrum of human life and its treasures (as well as its lessons!) is Yavae's passion.

In her playtime she enjoys playing musical instruments, listening to soul and folk music, finding humor in the mundane, and entertaining her kitten, Lazlo.
